BON IVER shares lead single from newly announced album | Listen to ‘Everything Is Peaceful Love.‘
Following the announcement of Bon Iver’s first new album in six years – SABLE, fABLE, out April 11th on Jagjaguwar – Justin Vernon has shared its lead single, ‘Everything Is Peaceful Love.‘ “‘Everything Is Peaceful Love’ gives me what I want for this album, all in one video. The idea that happiness and joy are the highest form and the true buoyancy of survival, and even taking yourself less seriously could heal the world.” - Justin Vernon
BON IVER announce new album |Pre Order it Today!
Justin Vernon turns the page and begins Bon Iver’s next chapter: the epilogue. Out April 11th on Jagjaguwar, SABLE, fABLE is the project’s first album in six years, and with it comes a love story set to lush, radiant pop music. While the record begins with the vulnerable unburdening of last fall’s three-song SABLE, EP, the triptych seamlessly gives way to a new nine-song saga in which one person becomes two, darkness turns to salmon-coloured beauty, and sadness transforms to unbridled joy. Where SABLE, is a sparse and solitary reckoning with a pain that long-defined the past, fABLE looks towards a vibrant future filled with light, purpose and possibility: a partner, new memories, perhaps a family. Ahead of its April 11th release date, Bon Iver officially enters the fABLE era this Valentine’s Day with ‘Everything Is Peaceful Love.’
JAPANESE BREAKFAST release new single 'Mega Circuit' | Take a listen
Japanese Breakfast shares ‘Mega Circuit,’ the fierce new single from her recently announced new album, For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women), due March 21st on Dead Oceans. The song arrives with a visual created by Michelle Zauner and frequent collaborator Adam Kolodny. “‘Mega Circuit’ was one of the first songs I wrote, intent on making a creepier, more guitar driven record,” Zauner explains. “The song is sort of an examination of contemporary masculinity, and explores a conflicted desire to embrace a generation that in the absence of positive role models has found refuge in violence and bigotry. We had the legendary Jim Keltner—who’s played on everything from ‘These Days,’ to ‘Here You Come Again’ to ‘Dream Weaver’—come in and play the fiercest shuffle you’ve ever heard.”
CIRCUIT DES YEUX share new song from upcoming album | Listen to 'Canopy Of Eden'
Out March 14th, Halo on the Inside is the new album by Chicago’s Circuit des Yeux (aka CdY, aka Haley Fohr). It is Fohr’s boldest work to date – warped and transcendent, darkly romantic and thrillingly alien. A musician, composer, and multidisciplinary artist, Fohr’s work defies easy categorisation. It has encompassed critically acclaimed albums, free-form improvisation, painting, audio visual installations, and large ensemble compositions. She has performed in an anechoic chamber (a room with no echo), written for a 50-piece children’s choir, and plunged from a rooftop (under the supervision of a stunt-coordinator).
SCOWL share new song ahead of new album | Listen to 'B.A.B.E.'
Santa Cruz hardcore band Scowl announced their new album, Are We All Angels, last month and today they return with their latest offering, ‘B.A.B.E’ Equal parts relentless hardcore and infectious hooks, the track leans into the band’s distinctive blend of raw aggression and undeniable catchiness. Produced by Will Yip (Turnstile, Title Fight, Mannequin Pussy, etc.), who worked on their most recent project, the Psychic Dance Routine EP, Are We All Angels finds the venomous and antagonistic band funneling their aggression through a more expansive version of themselves.
Adult Mom breaks hiatus with new song| Listen to 'Door Is Your Hand'
Adult Mom delivers a powerful and darkly poetic song titled ‘Door Is Your Hand‘, their first release in two years. Intertwined in jangly electric guitars and a triumphant power-pop chorus, songwriter Stevie Knipe’s lyrics radiate an unmistakable honesty as they confront a deeply personal topic with unflinching storytelling. “I have been through a lot since we last released music, and the experiences have shaped me deeply,” they explain. “This song was a way for me to process harm and victimization in ways that maybe aren’t conventionally “good”.“I think over the years I’ve grown angrier, and then serene in that anger. Beautiful things come out of it.”
GUCCIHIGHWATERS announces new album | Listen to lead single 'Desire'
guccihighwaters – the moniker of mastermind artist Morgan Murphy – announces his new album DEATH BY DESIRE out May 30th via Epitaph Records. Emerging from the late 2016/2017 emo-rap scene that once dominated SoundCloud, Murphy’s third record marks a sonic evolution. He seamlessly integrates iridescent pop elements to showcase a matured take on his signature dark R&B style.

HORSEGIRL release new album Phonetics On and On | Check out 'Fontrunner'
Horsegirl — the New York-via-Chicago trio of best friends Nora Cheng, Penelope Lowenstein, and Gigi Reece — release the single/video for ‘Frontrunner,’ the final single off their upcoming sophomore album, Phonetics On and On, out Friday via Matador Records. ‘Frontrunner,’ following previously released singles ‘Julie,’ ‘Switch Over,’ and ‘2468,’ showcases the confident simplicity in the band’s songwriting, calling to mind the playful and sparsely populated arrangements of bands like The Feelies and Young Marble Giants. Lyrically, the song leads us through familiar scenes of girlhood and youth, with Lowenstein tenderly singing about a quiet morning reading in bed with your partner sleeping beside you: “In the morning / When you’re sleeping / I can’t wait and I can’t wait to compromise / In the morning / When you’re sleeping – I can’t wait and I can’t wait.”
BARTEES STRANGE releases new album Horror | Check out his Jimmy Kimmel performance!
Bartees Strange shares new single ‘Backseat Banton’ from his album Horror, out today Friday 14 February. The final track on the album, ‘Backseat Banton’ serves as a closing statement for Horror’s shadow essay – Banton meaning storyteller in Caribbean mythology. In life, Bartees cannot decide whether to be along for the ride or struggle to grasp the steering wheel. ‘Backseat Banton’ follows Horror singles ‘Wants Needs’, an uproarious confessional anthem, ‘Too Much’, a sonic and lyrical love letter to himself, ‘Sober’, an introspective ballad about falling short in a relationship, and the explosive lead single ‘Lie 95’.

Southern-bred multidisciplinary artist Mereba releases her new album The Breeze Grew a Fire out now on Secretly Canadian. Written entirely by Mereba and produced by Mereba with the help of Sam Hoffman and Kibrom Birhane, the album draws on new lived experiences and early influences while tapping into her maternal instinct. Throughout the record Mereba rediscovers space for her truest self. The development of The Breeze was anchored by experiences and memories from Atlanta to L.A., Addis Ababa to Greensboro, an intention that speaks to the album’s fluid nature. To aid in this creation, Mereba tapped her longtime production collaborator Sam Hoffman to co-assemble the album’s rich production, which parallels its folklore-like warmth.
BLAWAN releases 12" EP of BouQ | Listen to Blawan's BBC Icon Mix
Blawan today releases his hotly anticipated BouQ EP via XL Recording. The four-track project is his third on the label, following on from 2023’s critically acclaimed Dismantled Into Juice EP (“dazzling… part of a long, proud tradition of UK club tracks that turn the dancefloor on its ear” – Pitchfork) and Woke Up Right Handed (“blinding in its brilliance, packaging everything great about each era of Blawan into five blissfully bizarre tracks” – Resident Advisor). Blawan returns once again to side-step expectations with BouQ, an EP that melds his vocal with disorientating, menacing electronic experimentation.
