Madi Diaz & Kacey Musgraves duet on new single | Listen to this stunning duet here
Madi Diaz presents her second pre-release single, ‘Don’t Do Me Good,’ off Weird Faith, out February 9th via ANTI-. Following lead single, ‘Same Risk,’ ‘Don’t Do Me Good’ showcases Diaz’s collaborative spirit as she mourns the inevitable end of a relationship alongside musician and friend, Kacey Musgraves. “Every time I try to walk away I stay, you knew I would,” they sing, followed by the reverberating conclusion, “I know loving you, it don’t do me good.” A woman’s admission that peace eludes her is desperately lonely, but Diaz is bolstered by Musgraves’ accompaniment in this crushing ballad. “I wanted this song to feel like calling your friend,” explains Diaz. “That moment of needing to commiserate and to have that person say ‘yeah, I’ve been there’ and share that experience with you.”
Speaking more to the collaboration with Musgraves, Diaz commented, “I am so happy Kacey said ‘yes’ when I asked her to sing on ‘Don’t Do Me Good.’ This song would have been so awfully lonely without her and I am so grateful I get to hear her voice on this with mine.”

Alongside the announcement, is the release of single “Lounge Lizard” and its music video directed by Ambar Navarro and conceptualized by Molly, inspired by Julie London’s apparition in 1956’s The Girl Can’t Help It.
Molly says of “Lounge Lizard,”
"Wherever you happen to be, I’d like you to let this song soundtrack the next few minutes of your life. I hope that it accentuates your surroundings, gently transforming them into the sonic equivalent of having a personal sax player serenade you from the bath."
Babebee announces new EP - ‘A Prophecy ’ | Push play on 'Video Game'
21-year-old Korean American artist Babebee (they/them) is announcing their new EP ‘A PROPHECY’ today, due for release on November 17th via Epitaph Records. Part of the graduating class of Pigeons & Planes best new artists of 2022 (alongside Ice Spice), the Atlanta based songwriter and producer layers dreamy guitars, ethereal synths and unconventional production with stream-of-conscious lyricism that speaks to the wisdom beyond the young creative’s years.
Babebee also shares lead single ‘VIDEO GAME, which boasts influences of plugg, trap, alt-rock and bossa nova inspired by the music scene of their hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Touching on hyper-personal experiences, the lyrics encompass topics of gender dysphoria and womanhood which are mirrored in the accompanying fever-dream music video.
Epitaph's indie puinks “MANNEQUIN PUSSY share new song - Listen to 'Sometimes'
Mannequin Pussy recently announced upcoming album, I Got Heaven, and today release a visualizer for their blistering new single “Sometimes.”
“‘Sometimes’ is the internal conversation and subsequent battle that comes with facing your own desires. It is a song about the struggle of feeling a deep need for one’s independence while at the same time accepting that you are longing for someone who would understand you and be enough to draw you away from your solitude. It is the anger you feel at someone for making you feel desire. For allowing that desire to distract you from your work and your self and your mission,” explains Marisa Dabice.
I Got Heaven, due March 1st on Epitaph Records, is the band’s most fully realized LP yet. Over 10 ambitious tracks that abruptly turn from searing punk to inviting pop, the album is deeply concerned with desire, the power in being alone, and how to live in an unfeeling and unkind world. “There's just so much constantly going on that feels intentionally evil that trying to make something beautiful feels like a radical act ,” says Dabice. “The ethos of this band has always been to bring people together.”
I Got Heaven, an album filled with cathartic tunes about despairing times, is a document of a band doubling down on their unshakable bond to make something furious, thrilling, and wholly alive.
JOSHUA ROBERTS (of Magnolia Park) announces solo EP & shares new song |Listen to 'Darkness'
Powerhouse vocalist Joshua Roberts announces his debut EP, Good For You due for release on December 15th via Epitaph Records. Already taking the world by storm with his band Magnolia Park, Roberts re-introduced himself last year with his debut single “Stay, Stay, Stay!” that launched him into brand-new territory. Previously known for uplifting stadium pop-punk anthems and energizing live performances, Good For You finds Roberts experimenting with alternative R&B as he expands his vocal range while pushing the limits of his creativity and artistic output.
Leading with a dreamy guitar riff imbued by floating synths and an entrancing trap beat, Joshua shares the EP’s lead single “Darkness” today. A cold-blooded, hard-hearted account of apathetic love, he takes on the role of the toxic lover who detaches himself from romantic connection and fixates on the physical. Written and produced by close collaborator and Magnolia Park member Vince Ernst, the song’s graphic lyrics were inspired by a cult classic movie.
L.A. punk band DEATH LENS share suspenseful video for new single | Check out the video here
Maintaining their DIY mindset and strong sense of community, East Los Angeles natives Death Lens have been delivering socially aware alternative rock with a nostalgic punk twist since 2015. They recently celebrated a new milestone in their career with the announcement of their signing to Epitaph Records, and today share ‘Limousine’ – a slow burner with palpable rage simmering under the surface.
Aligned with punk fundamentals, lyrically “Limousine” rejects societal expectations perpetuated through the media and confronts the lack of attainable representation for the underdog. Set to the pulse of a heartbeat, the song’s minimalistic slow build gives way to heavier sonics, culminating in an anarchic wall of sound that transitions to a slowed heartbeat that eventually flatlines.
GGLUM shares new single & video 'Easy Fun' | Check out 'Easy Fun'
gglum, the moniker of London-born songwriter Ella Smoker, has shared her second single for Secretly Canadian, the industrial, riotous ‘Easy Fun.’ Of the new single, Smoker says “‘Easy Fun’ is every night out I’ve had since I was a teenager mushed into one. It’s meant to be silly and tongue in cheek since most of my songs tend to be quite gloomy in topic. I made this one with Karma Kid over a year ago and we just wanted to experiment with getting me out of my comfort zone and trying something a little different.”
Last month, gglum announced her signing to Secretly Canadian with the instantly catchy “SPLAT!”, which was praised by The FADER, who named it a ‘Song You Need in Your Life’ Stereogum, and Paste Magazine who called it “a dashing, noisy fit of emo-inspired garage rock with tints of TRL-obsessed pop hooks.”
The 21-year old Ella Smoker first broke out with 2020’s viral pandemic-era hit “Why Don’t I Care.” Inspired by the likes of Alex G, Phil Elverum and Adrianne Lenker, gglum’s music positions Smoker as an artist who can wield atmospheric disturbance at her fingertips, crafting soundscapes that allow her to reconcile with a tumultuous coming-of-age. With flickers of electronica, dream pop and discordant garage-punk, her acoustic guitar becomes a sturdy ally, the base of a versatile, lo-fi sound that manages to feel simultaneously escapist and immersive.

Built around a chopped and sequenced guitar line, ‘I Just Want To Wake Up With You’ is a languid and fuzzy love song, an ode to domestic life, and to comfort and health. THE MENZINGERS release new album | Watch the video for 'Try'
Today The Menzingers release their seventh studio album ‘Some Of It Was True’ via Epitaph Records. Four years since the release of 2019’s Hello Exile, the band collaborated with Grammy-nominated producer Brad Cook (Bon Iver, the War on Drugs, Waxahatchee) on this new music. Recorded at Texas’s legendary Sonic Ranch studio, Cook helped accomplish the daunting task of capturing their distinctive live energy within the confines of a studio and what results is their most immediate-sounding and energetic record to date.
Earlier this week the Philly foursome treated fans to the offbeat, coming-of-age music video for “Try”. Directed by Whitey McConnaughy
