Fresh off a tour with Underoath, today the metalcore giants The Ghost Inside share a powerful new single and accompanying music video, “Death Grip”.

 Featuring heavy riffage and unforgiving drum patterns backed by haunting industrial sonics, “Death Grip” features compelling, emotionally charged lyrics as lead singer Jonathan Vigil squares off with his own mortality and comes out victorious. He explains,

“Death Grip is a song about survival and defying your fate to create your own destiny. When push comes to shove, believe in yourself. You don’t need a lifeline when you’ve got a death grip.”

Gruff Rhys is pleased to announce the second track from his new album ‘Silver Lining (Lead Balloons)’ taken from his 25th Album Sadness Sets Me Free which is released by Rough Trade Records on 26.01.2024.

Gruff  on his new track: “Its about facing reality and not trying to overstate something that isn’t all that. But it’s deadpan. I’m not being totally serious. At the end I’m singing “I left my dreams in a rental car”, which is quite a pathetic image, and then its followed by the last lines, “Live for now/ and dream afar”. The version of me that’s singing it is quite a road-worn character – literally. I’d been driving around Europe in a van, with war starting out. So maybe that mindset.”

Another elegiacally beautiful track by Rhys, the track is accompanied by a shimmering visual that compliments the care-worn wonderment of the music.

Hollywood renaissance man Loren Kramar, the latest luminary signed to the esteemed Secretly Canadian label, presents his newest single, ‘Hollywood Blvd.’ It is accompanied by a visually captivating music video, directed by Kramar, that offers an intimate glimpse behind the scenes of iconic Hollywood studios. Like a scene out of a Christopher Guest film, the video opens with a Hollywood studio tour led by comedian John Early. Chock full of every showbiz trope one could imagine, it stars Loren Kramar portraying a version of himself, on the precipice of receiving his coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

FABIANA PALLADINO shares new song with Jai Paul | Listen to 'I Care'

Today, Fabiana Palladino and Jai Paul come together to release ‘I Care’. The single, which the pair co-wrote and produced – is the first track to be released from Palladino’s highly-anticipated debut album and the first piece of new music from either musician in over three years.

The single debuted to a rapturous response last month during Jai Paul’s sold-out headline show at Mayan Theatre in Los Angeles and today gets a full digital release via Paul Institute / XL Recordings / Remote Control.

On ‘I Care’ and working with regular collaborator Jai Paul, Fabiana Palladino says “I wrote this song on my Juno 106 one night at home and played it to Jai the next day. He instantly came up with a beat and we worked together on the track from there. I’ve always loved those Motown duets with Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, or Diana Ross and wanted to create a modern version of that. We’re playing with the way those duets have this quite clear notion of romance, love and relationships…we’re subverting that a little to explore normativity in relationships. Musically, we’ve tried to put all of the beauty, excitement, and tension of modern day love into this song.”

There’s a transcendent layer to every song made by Chanel Beads: half-fabricated-half-truth, each one builds to an inflamed idea of a universal experience. 

With Lavers’ emotionally stark, yet intricately produced 2022 singles “Ef” and “True Altruism,” Chanel Beads established a presence in New York’s DIY scene and corners of the experimental music internet. Lavers is often joined on stage by close collaborator, songwriter, and producer Maya McGrory and experimental instrumentalist Zachary Paul, who weave in their improvised voices and instruments, making Lavers’ hard-to-place songs even more unpredictable and all-encompassing.
