Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory release ‘Trouble,’ the final pre-release single from their forthcoming self-titled debut album Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory, out February 7th via Jagjaguwar. On the heels of the “ripping” and “mesmerizing” (FLOOD) ‘Southern Life (What It Must Be Like),’ ‘Trouble’ is a cascading, almost euphoric track characteristic of the mystical mix of electronics and analog textures found throughout the album. ‘Trouble’ features Van Etten’s unmistakable vocals alongside melancholic synths by Teeny Lieberson and driving and melodic bass lines by Devra Hoff.

Porridge Radio announce a new EP titled The Machine Starts To Sing, out 21st February via Secretly Canadian, and share new single ‘Don’t Want To Dance’. The band have also announced that the EP will be their final release, with Dana Margolin, who fronts Porridge Radio, releasing the below statement: “This is the last new music from Porridge Radio and marks the end of the band. The songs on this EP are an important part of Clouds In The Sky They Will Always Be There For Me, and mean a lot to us. We are excited for you to hear them. The two artists first collaborated on the music video for Perfume Genius’ groundbreaking ‘Queen’.

FRANK BLACK releases 30th anniversary edition of Teenager of the Year | Get the limited gold double LP today!
To celebrate Frank Black’s landmark solo album, Teenager Of The Year turning 30, 4AD release a one-time vinyl pressing on 17th January, to accompany a tour of North America plus Paris and London, where Frank Black and the original band will be performing the album in its entirety. This special vinyl tour edition of Teenager Of The Year, has been remastered for the first time from its original analogue studio tapes. Sounding as essential as the day it was released, the limited 30th Anniversary Tour Edition is cut at 45 rpm for optimum playback and is being pressed on double gold vinyl. The album also comes in a gatefold sleeve with liner notes by both Frank Black and producer Eric Drew Feldman. A 24-bit digital version is being released on the same day.

Outlaws JULIEN BAKER & TORRES drop new video | Check out this Stud Country collaboration
After playing the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Julien Baker & TORRES closed out 2024 with the release of their critically acclaimed debut single ‘Sugar in the Tank’ via Matador Records. Today, they share the official video for the track which was shot in collaboration with the queer country dance party Stud Country. The clip features original choreography by Stud Country’s co-founder Sean Monaghan and star members of the Stud Country community. “We were so excited to cast people from our community including Geo [Jedlicka] who has been dancing in NYC for three decades. Having established artists like Julien and TORRES, who’ve actually been to our events, collaborate with us during this country revival is incredible,” says Monaghan.
