The Smile today announce the details of a new album titled Cutouts, set for release on October 4th via XL Recordings. Two new tracks off the record are released today ‘Foreign Spies’ and ‘Zero Sum,’ with an accompanying video for ‘Zero Sum,’ and ‘Foreign Spies’ directed by audiovisual artist Weirdcore.

Continuing her remarkable run of envelope pushing releases this year including her critically acclaimed album The Collective and most recently, ‘ECRP,’ Kim Gordon has continued her ongoing collaboration with Justin Raisen (The Collective, No Home Record) and teamed up with DC experimental hip hop group model home for ‘razzamatazz,’ an electro-freak track of throbbing sub-basses and rotary sonics hovering below Gordon’s iconic whisper.
KIM DEAL announces debut solo album| Listen to lead single 'Crystal Breath'
Kim Deal announces her debut solo album, Nobody Loves You More, due November 22nd on 4AD. Today she shares ‘Crystal Breath,’ a delicious dose of distortion filled with pulsating beats and fuzzy riffs. The last recording for Nobody Loves You More took place in November 2022 with legendary engineer and close friend Steve Albini at his Electrical Audio studio in Chicago. Along the way she has brought in a variety of collaborators from Breeders past and present (Mando Lopez, twin sister Kelley Deal, Jim Macpherson, Britt Walford), to Raymond McGinley (Teenage Fanclub), Jack Lawrence (Raconteurs) and Savages’ Fay Milton and Ayse Hassan.
TUCKER ZIMMERMAN joins 4AD & teams up with Big Thief | Listen to the the stunning 'Burial at Sea'
4AD welcomes Belgium-based American singer-songwriter Tucker Zimmerman to the family. His label debut and eleventh career studio record entitled Dance Of Love, will be released on 11 October. A collaboration with label mate Big Thief (who produced and performed on the album), Zimmerman shares the first single, ‘Burial At Sea’. The song tells the story of a resurfaced message in a bottle from a sea captain of yore, and closely parallel’s Zimmerman’s musical experience; words written long ago have the power to resonate for years to come, transcending time and place.
