A collaboration with Robyn on her first major new release since 2018’s Honey, ‘Life’ arrives in a blaze of horns and filtered loops, a hymn as nu-disco affirmation featuring one of the most iconic vocalists in recent times.

Released today (20th June), John Glacier’s Duppy Gun follows in the same free-form, experimental spirit of its predecessor, Like A Ribbon. Its skeleton is built upon rap, but uncovering all its layers is a richly eclectic experience. Shades of dancehall, electronic music, ambience and so much more echo throughout the project’s five tracks, providing a unique atmosphere that feels just about as personal and diaristic as we’ve heard from Glacier so far. The most outwardly dancefloor-facing moment of Glacier’s career so far, ‘Cows Come Home’ integrates elements of subwoofer-blowing rap, jungle and dancehall, while still creating space for John’s singular, intimate tone.

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE reissue their self titled album | Get yourself the definitive version
The Expanded 2011 edition of Queens of the Stone Age‘s self titled album is being made available once again on 2LP and CD. This ‘definitive version’ of the album comes with original Loose-Groove cover artwork and a number of bonus tracks. Having released the original tracklist & artwork version of Queens of the Stone Age self-titled LP in 2022, in limited edition on orange and on black vinyl (aka ‘the 1998 version’), Matador are now going to be releasing the 2011 Version of the album on LP (specifically double-LP) and CD, this is the seen as the definite version of the album by the artist, and the version that we will keep in print going forward.
