ANDREW WILSON from Die! Die! Die! shares new EP | Listen to 'Simple Songs' today
AW, the new project from Andrew of Die! Die! Die!, emerges from a deeply personal journey. Recorded by Stefan Neville on reel-to-reel 8-track at their shared studio in Tāmaki Makarau – Tone Exchange, these songs bear witness to Andrew’s recovery from major surgery and the simple kaupapa to create while feeling isolated.
Shadow World, the UK label set to release a tape of AW’s music, was struck by its beauty and timeless quality. They remarked, “It’s really beautiful. Although the actual song craft stands proud, the sonics and the mood reminds me of early rough trade – Mekons, Young Marble Giants, Raincoats.”
