caroline Share Album Version of 'Dark Blue'
Prior to the release of their self-titled debut album this Friday, London-based eight piece caroline have shared the album version of their track ‘Dark blue’. An earlier version of the song introduced the world to the band when it was released in March 2020, and it was subsequently reworked for the album. ‘Dark blue‘ follows earlier singles ‘Good morning (red)’ and ‘IWR’. HELADO NEGRO Shares New Video 'Hometown Dream'
Helado Negro has released the official music video for single ‘Hometown Dream’ from his acclaimed recent album Far In. The ‘Hometown Dream’ video incorporates footage from Roberto Carlos Lange‘s first family trip to their native Ecuador in 1988 and reveals the source of his Far In album cover art.

Grammy-winning R&B singer/songwriter Leon Bridges and the otherworldly Houston trio Khruangbin released their collaborative Texas Moon EP, a follow-up to 2020’s acclaimed **Texas Sun, last week. Today, the pairing shares an animated video for the EP’s sultry slowjam 'Chocolate Hills,'* a stripped-down song that highlights Bridges’ voice amidst its very own Willy Wonka-treatment.
MDOU MOCTAR Share New Song 'Nakanegh Dich'
Click the link to listen to ‘Nakanegh Dich,’ released as part of the deluxe re-issue of Afrique Victime, which was recorded in Los Angeles with Rob Schnapf during sessions for the album. “This is Mdou’s very first time using a wah pedal,” explains bassist and producer, Mikey Coltun. “At some point, Mdou called Rob into the studio and asked him to control the wah with his foot while Mdou shredded a solo.”
TORO Y MOI Shares New Single & Video 'The Loop'
Toro y Moi, a.k.a Chaz Bear shares the third song from his forthcoming album MAHAL, due April 29th via Dead Oceans. ‘The Loop‘ arrives with a Company Studio-directed video showing Chaz as he joyously traverses the Bay Area by GoCar, skateboard, and a customized MAHAL Jeepney alongside friends, including a special appearance by Eyedress.

Deluxe Edition of MDOU MOCTAR'S Afrique Victime
Matador has released a deluxe digital edition of Mdou Moctar’s Afrique Victime, which expands the album with nine previously unreleased songs, “These are a mix of demos from Niger and some live tracks from touring around the world, when we were still working out the songs together as a band,” says bassist and producer Mikey Coltun. “These are fun and different early versions of the songs.”

NYC based New Zealand artist, Chelsea Jade, unveils the new single/video, ‘Good Taste,’ from her new album, Soft Spot, out April 29th on Carpark Records. ‘Good Taste‘ is a calibration of Jade’s skills in passing pop through an R’n’B tinged lens, and is presented alongside a video illustrated by Frances Haszard.
