ADRIANNE LENKER presents new single & video ‘Ruined’ | Listen to Ruined
Today, Adrianne Lenker (Big Thief) presents her new single and video, ‘Ruined’. ‘Ruined’ is a heart-breaking, remarkable intro to Lenker’s highly anticipated new solo album, which she has announced will be coming in 2024. Lenker is a generational songwriter, performing at an unprecedented scale and continuing to surprise listeners. On ‘Ruined’, Lenker moves to the piano for the first time, lamenting, “Can’t get enough of you // You come around I’m ruined.” A powerful torch song that demands attention, ‘Ruined’ is destined to stay with you after its final notes fade.
The accompanying ‘Ruined’ video was directed by Adrianne’s brother Noah Lenker, and collages gorgeous footage of Lenker in autumnal foliage. It’s a breath-taking mosaic of Lenker soaking in riverbeds, basking in the afternoon sun, and dancing along tree-lined paths.
DARTZ announce new album | Listen to the new single
The Band From Wellington, New Zealand is back: DARTZ have today announced their second full-length album Dangerous Day To Be A Cold One, to be released on Friday 1 March 2024 via Flying Nun Records.
The band have also shared new single ‘Learning To Drive With Dad’ — a classic DARTZ tale of a driving lesson gone sideways and pubways, inspired by upbringings in small-town New Zealand. ‘Learning To Drive With Dad’ is accompanied by a new music video directed by Ezra Simons, shot on 16mm film in DARTZ frontman Danz’s real-life hometown. The song & video are packed with DARTZ’s signature humour and cheeky storytelling spirit, with high-octane guitar lines and a pub-anthem chorus to boot.
ARCHITECTS release new single & video | Listen to 'Seeing Red'
Today, Architects have shared a brand-new single entitled “Seeing Red,” along with an accompanying video, out now via Epitaph Records. In under 4-minutes, Dan Searle, Sam Carter, Alex Dean, Adam Christianson and Josh Middleton pack in an album’s worth of riffs and seering hooks. “We’re so happy to release Seeing Red and to announce our US tour,” shares Carter, “This marks another very important and exciting time for our band and we can’t wait to have rooms of people enjoy this song with us.
FUTURE ISLANDS release new single from upcoming album | Listen to 'The Fight'
Future Islands have today shared ‘The Fight’, the latest new song from their forthcoming album, People Who Aren’t There Anymore, out on 26 January 2024. Atop a sensual, synth-based groove, lead singer Sam Herring vies for self-preservation via his trademark impassioned vocals: “I won’t fade away / I will face every day / As if it’s my last one / And I will keep you safe / Just like our past was / Fight for love every day.”
From the start, Future Islands have been singular and instantly identifiable, with Herring’s life-worn croons and cries backlit by Gerrit Welmers’ melodies and charged by the rhythms of William Cashion and Michael Lowry. That premise hasn’t changed on People Who Aren’t There Anymore, but never before has the band sounded so empathetic and Herring so integrated, with what he is singing and how they sound blended like a dioramic mosaic.
SAMPHA releases new music video | Watch Can't Go Back'
Sampha returns to share a new music video for ‘Can’t Go Back,’ a song featured on his globally-acclaimed album LAHAI, out now on Young.
‘Can’t Go Back’ is the latest single from LAHAI to receive a music video, joining the previously released ‘Only’ and Sampha’s co-directed short film Time Travel Memories. Directed by Saad Moosajee and starring Sampha, “Can’t Go Back” see’s Sampha grappling with the pain and joy of loss and existence all at once; through this modern, abstract folktale, Sampha travels through time, moving forwards and backwards, seeking therapy in nature.
NNAMDÏ releases new single | Listen to 'Going Crazy'
About “Going Crazy”, NNAMDÏ says: The song is about finding inspiration in the madness. Trying not to lose your mind when so many things feel out of control. It’s about embracing those heavy emotions and channeling them into something productive and positive. This song is exciting to me because I made it from a video of my little niece and nephews playing an out of tune ukulele and stomping around their house. They were chanting this mantra and I became obsessed with it. They often like to make up funny songs and sometimes I’ll add music to them. This is one of the few that the world gets to hear.
REMO DRIVE embrace loneliness in new single | Listen to 'New In Town'
Today, mid-west indie band Remo Drive announce the arrival of their latest single and music video ‘New In Town’.
Following vocalist and guitarist Erik Paulson’s move from his home state of Minnesota to Albany, NY, ‘New In Town’ is a baroque indie rock ballad that tells a story of embracing the challenges of discovering one’s place in a new city.
“ “New in Town” is a song about the loneliness of moving to a new city, being the only stranger in a room full of old friends, and misconstruing bar names for human names,” Erik explains. “This song came to be after an especially homesick night, but really took its shape throughout the recording process. It’s our quietest song yet, and one of our most adventurous productions.”
LUCINDA CHUA shares new EP | Listen to 'Rose Garden'
Following the release of her critically-acclaimed debut album YIAN earlier this year, Lucinda Chua today shares her brand new EP ‘Reclaiming The Rose’, out now via 4AD. Speaking on the concept behind the EP, Lucinda explains: Reclaiming The Rose is a bi-lingual meditation exploring ideas of returning, remembering and retracing ancestral roots. I was inspired by the journey of the rose; a plant indigenous to China that made its way to the UK in the 1700s. I met the artist and poet He Sun at a music festival in Italy and found a kinship with one of her poems. I wanted to set these words to music, to hear the words spoken in both their English and Mandarin form. I asked my friend Xiaoqiao to join me on the final song.”
COLD HART shares meloncholic post-punk single | Listen to 'TSOM'
Over a decade ago, Long Island based songwriter/producer Cold Hart got his start twisting the pop punk and metal songs that soundtracked his youth into languid hip hop-tracks. Many releases later, his musical evolution has found him narrowing in on traditional songwriting that better approximates the music that he grew up listening to; whether it be The Cure, Depeche Mode, or Tears for Fears.
Continuing on this new sonic journey, today he shares his nostalgia fueled lofi post-punk single “TSOM” produced by Andrew Dawson (Kid Cudi, Linkin Park, Code Orange) and longtime collaborator YAWNS (GOTHBOICLIQUE).
FENNE LILY shares Christmas Alone - Listen to this beautiful Christmas offering...

RUTHVEN shares new single ‘The Window' out now via Paul Institute | Check it out here
Today South London singer, songwriter and producer, Ruthven releases, ‘The Window‘. Out now via Paul Institute / Remote Control, the new single comes alongside the announcement that Ruthven will support Sampha across the European leg of the Satellite Business Tour, marking his debut in Berlin and Amsterdam.
Ruthven first broke out in 2017 as one of Paul Institute’s founding artists after his unique future-funk-infused R&B reached brothers Jai Paul and A. K. Paul, who founded the label. By taking the DNA of timeless hits from the past and filtering them through a modern lens his music is neither retro by design nor disposable efforts to keep up with the times. Following the release of singles ‘123 Days‘, ‘Don’t Keep It To Yourself‘, ‘Have You Decided?‘ and ‘Hypothalamus/Evil‘, Ruthven caught the attention of Pitchfork, Dazed, The Fader, and FACT, which he also performed a live session for.

MAGNOLIA PARK share video for 'Fell In Love On Halloween' | Watch it here
Following the release of their sophomore LP, Halloween Mixtape II, Orlando powerhouse Magnolia Park shares a video to accompany their saccharine emo anthem, “Fell in Love on Halloween” inspired by the iconic characters from the cult classic film The Nightmare Before Christmas. Directed by vocalist Joshua Roberts himself, he explains that “[The] video is a play on a modern live action version of Jack and Sally being in a relationship. But Sally has other plans with another person. It’s a play on the lyrics of the song being about being so head over heels for someone and then having it ripped from you.”
KATY KIRBY shares new track | Check out 'Party Of The Century'
‘Party of the Century’ is the third song to be released from ‘Blue Raspberry,’ coming out January 26. Said FLOOD on the debut single “Cubic Zirconia”: “The pop-infused track is built around bouncy and twinkling piano melodies, a drum groove highlighted by smoky cymbal work, and a guitar part that features slides up and down the fretboard. Kirby’s voice sounds as confident as ever, equal parts beautiful and powerful.” ‘Blue Raspberry’ follows Kirby’s acclaimed debut album ‘Cool Dry Place,’ which was also recorded in Nashville and released in February of 2021. While the songs on that record unfold amidst Kirby finding her voice, ‘Blue Raspberry’ is a polished and confident sophomore effort that deepens the questions that bubbled through ‘Cool Dry Place’ about how people can reach each other despite all the hazard zones where human connection caves in.
GLITTERER shares contemplative new single | Listen to ‘Just A Place’
Earnest and dimensional, ‘Just A Place’ describes the nomadic existence lead singer and songwriter Ned Russin has felt as a result of living in multiple cities the last few years. “When I started Glitterer, I tried to act like place wasn’t important to me anymore,” explained the Kingston, Pennsylvania native. “I had been living in New York for a few years when I started the band. Since then, I’ve moved again, and the band has taken on a DC identity. I love PA, specifically Kingston, and it’s obviously an integral part of my understanding of myself. This song, whose title was almost ‘William Penn Overture,’ tries to hold onto home after it’s too late, and it’s for Rulio the Groundskeeper.”
LIL LOTUS & Mod Sun team up for new single | THE LABEL
In collaboration with Mod Sun, today Lil Lotus shares the new music video for pop-punk banger “blame me for everything” which takes a deeper look into the complexities of his relationships.
