Peruvian creative DANIELA LALITA announces Trececerotres EP
Model, artist, and muse, New York based, Peruvian-born one to watch Daniela Lalita shares details of her debut EP. The five-song EP features the previously released single ‘Tenía Razón’ and Lalita’s newest single ‘No Para.’ Watch the video here - shot at 16,000 ft. above sea level, during sub-zero temperatures, atop of the ‘Mirador De Los Volcanes’ (viewpoint of the volcanoes) in Arequipa, Peru.
Manchester-Colombian Producer and DJ FLORENTINO debuts on XL Recordings with new single
Florentino has released his debut single for XL Recordings, ‘Constrictor’; a cross-cultural club track featuring Toronto-based dancehall artist Bambii and Dominican urbano vocalist artist KD ONE. At the forefront of Manchetser’s innovative electronic scene, Florentino debuted in 2015 via the vital label wing of club night Swing Ting. He says of the new track "Primed to rattle your speakers, Constrictor is the first page in the next chapter.” Check it out here.
Jamie XX Remixes Oliver Sim
The xx’s Oliver Sim has shared a new version of his Hideous Bastard single 'GMT.' The original track was produced by Jamie xx, and here the long-time band mates continue their creative partnership with the release of a rare Jamie xx remix. Jamie has only ever released a handful of official remixes (for the likes of Radiohead, Adele, Four Tet and Florence and The Machine) so you can be sure on his first remix in over five years, he's going to produce a dance floor epic ..... we're counting down the days til Hideous Bastard is released in all it's glory, this one definitely gets us in the mood!

As one of rap’s most commanding new presences, Kenny Beats has produced career-defining music for the likes of NBA Youngboy, Rico Nasty, FKA Twigs, Freddie Gibbs and Vince Staples, and recorded agit-punk for Bristol’s IDLES straight to tape. On LOUIE, Kenny draws on the rich soul-soaked traditions of outliers like J.Dilla, Madlib and D’Angelo, to explore themes of his own family, childhood, and upbringing for the first time. A tribute to Kenny's overall relationship to music altogether, LOUIE enlists an ensemble cast of collaborators and players to offer up a new kind of producer album, adding all new layers to his own still-growing voice.

The National and Bon Iver have a long track record of collaboration on all kinds of projects, (Big Red Machine, the Eaux Claires festival, Taylor Swift - to name a few.) Now - finally - they’ve recorded a collaborative single using their most well-known monikers. The song is called 'Weird Goodbyes.' They’ve been teasing it for over a week now, and the National have been playing it live even longer, “It’s about letting go of the past and moving on, then later being overwhelmed by second thoughts,” says The National lead singer Matt Berninger of the song, which also features strings by the London Contemporary Orchestra as orchestrated by The National’s Bryce Dessner. The Chicago duo composed of Julien Ehrlich and Max Kakacek have taken a sharp pivot away from the folky acoustics of their past releases and venture into glossy synth-wave. The band found themselves stuck in Portland at the onset of the pandemic after Ehrlich went to clear his head following a years-long breakup, and Kakacek followed to escape the harsh Chicago winter. While there, they agreed to make some drastic shifts to their sound, today they release two more peeks into the result, their upcoming album SPARK.

The masterful Tuareg guitarist Mdou Moctar has followed up last year’s sensational Afrique Victime with a surprise live release. Niger EP Vol. 1 was recorded live in Moctar’s native Niger. Fifty years after the Māori Language Petition with 30,000 signatures calling for active recognition of te reo Māori was presented to Parliament, Waiata Anthems Week returns to honour the pioneers who lit the spark to revitalise te reo Māori.
This year, Waiata Anthems will build on the legacy of the 1972 Petition with 20 new waiata set for release on September 2nd, along with a wero to Aotearoa to take part in becoming champions of te reo via waiata throughout Mahuru Māori.
