“Don’t Let It Trouble Your Mind”: Whether you need a prenup, postnup or just a ride to anywhere but here, these are the words you’ll learn to live by after a cruise around town with Justin Vernon & Partners. In the new music video for Bon Iver’s ‘From,’ out today, Vernon pulls double duty as a divorce attorney and limousine driver, bringing a group of feuding newlyweds on a journey to joy. Windows down, donuts in hand, a couple cans Old Style on the dash – there’s no need to hurry. Take the back seat and give Justin Vernon & Partners your worry (they can see where you’re coming from). Watch the video for ‘From,’ and call 888-FROM-BON for inquiries. Note: this is not legal or love advice, or transportation. Just a hot line. Justin Vernon & Asher Weisberg will be responding to select voicemails.
JOHN MAUS announces new album | Listen to the new single
On September 26th, 2025, two decades and seven albums into his career, American musician, composer, and academic John Maus will release his most transcendent work yet: Later Than You Think. Arriving via his new label YOUNG, the album explores themes of grief, justice, rebirth, transformation, and spiritual warfare – coalescing into a work of confession and confrontation: an aural metaphysics where affect, intellect, and spirit converge in search of the beautiful, the truth and the real. Maus has shared the opening track from the album, ‘Because We Built It,’ a song that poetically and pointedly expresses the burden of collective guilt and the need for radical transformation of unjust systems.

On the heels of ‘Cathode Ray,’ hailed by Rolling Stone as a “gem [that] expertly showcases their heavenly harmonies,” ‘Moth Song’ is about unrequited love. The song forms the album’s sparse centerpiece, with Anita Clark’s undulating violin part drifting in and out of focus as if from a dream. The accompanying visualiser was edited by the band from a behind the scenes video from the recording of the album.
JOY ORBISON & OVERMONO team up with SKIIFALL | Banger Alert!
Joy Orbison and Overmono – two of the UK’s most highly respected forces in electronic music – come together once again. This time, they’re stepping into fresh territory with ‘Lippy’, a collaborative new single featuring original vocals from rising Montreal rapper Skiifall. Released via XL Recordings, the single premiered as the Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1 with Jack Saunders. ‘Lippy’ started during a session at the XL Recordings studio, where Joy Orbison and Overmono began exploring more melodic ideas beyond their previous club-focused collaborations ‘Blind Date’ and ‘Bromley.’ Joy O, a longtime fan of Skiifall since ‘Ting Tun Up’, reconnected with him after a previous session, feeling his voice could take the track somewhere unexpected.

Holly Herndon, the acclaimed Berlin-based artist, performer and composer, has released ‘Eternal – Re-imagined’, a new version of the original track from her groundbreaking 2019 album PROTO. Experimental post-rock sextet The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die announce their new album, ‘Dreams of Being Dust,’ due for release on August 22nd via Epitaph Records. After unveiling a newfound brutalism on ‘Beware the Centrist,’ which Stereogum hailed as “a frantic, teeth-gnashing attack,” today the band continues this approach with another new single titled ‘Se Sufre Pero Se Goza’.

Toronto-based producer, film composer, and author Meg Remy has finally shared her intuitive and adventurous U.S. Girls album, Scratch It. When Remy was asked to play a festival in Hot Springs, Arkansas — over one thousand miles away from her Toronto home — it was instinct that led her to enlist guitarist friend Dillon Watson (D. Watusi, Savoy Motel, Jack Name) to assemble a one-time Nashville-based band for the occasion.

Richard Russell’s collaborative music project Everything Is Recorded have announced and released Solstice Equinox – a new album comprising forty pieces recorded in four days between 2023 and 2024 at The Copper House, Russell’s West London studio. Solstice Equinox is the fourth Everything Is Recorded album and comes four months after the third, Temporary. Each session took place on a solstice or equinox — the Summer and Winter Solstices, and the Spring and Autumn Equinoxes. Across these four days, a revolving cast of musicians, peers, and longtime collaborators gathered for fully improvised sessions. Words about the seasons were written on the studio walls; otherwise Russell gave the players no instructions. After the sessions, he edited and mixed the recordings into the four distinct selections of ten tracks each that collectively form Solstice Equinox.

LATE NIGHT DRIVE HOME releases their debut album | Watch 'Day 2'
late night drive home have released their buoyant yet ominous debut album as I watch my life online via Epitaph. The band has never known a world without the internet — without access to the endless stream of joy, sorrow, and titillation that we all tune in and tune out to on the daily. In many ways, the guys can’t extricate themselves from that reality, but they’re trying to grapple with it. They shared, “The record is a collection of different meta perspectives of our lives online. Sometimes you’re an observer from in front of the screen, sometimes you’re the one looking at people from the inside out.” late night drive home was born in El Paso, Texas, and Chaparral, New Mexico, hardworking communities where the collars were mostly blue — a quality that the band would bring to their music as self-taught craftsmen.
ROYALE LYNN unleashes Pandora's Box with Black Magic | Check out 'WTCH'
Nashville rocker Royale Lynn shares her new album BLACK MAGIC out now via Epitaph Records. A record that defies easy categorisation, on her full-length debut the self-professed “metalhead from a small town” proves her prowess for bridging the gap between two seemingly different worlds. For BLACK MAGIC, Lynn provides a raw exploration of her personal struggles with mental health, woven through a narrative inspired by her fascinations with horror, mythology and fantasy. Drawing from the legend of Pandora’s Box, each song on the record represents an “evil” that escaped Pandora’s box into humanity. Royale kicked things off with the heavy riffs of ‘GREED’ before delving into ‘E.V.I.L.,’ taking listeners on a very intense, personal and intentional journey both lyrically and musically.
