PICKLE DARLING shares new song 'Massive Everything' | Stay tuned for more Pickle Darling!
There’s always been something ineffably tender about Pickle Darling’s music – an off-kilter ache, a half-buried memory, a melody that insists on being felt before it can be understood. With ‘Massive Everything,’ their first original music since a gorgeously unguarded Postal Service cover alongside The Beths in 2023, the Ōtautahi/Christchurch-based songwriter takes a step into full-blown pop maximalism — or at least their version of it. ‘Massive Everything’ marks the beginning of a new chapter for Pickle Darling, one that reaches toward bigness without losing the cracked, glinting beauty of their past work.
KIRSTEN MORRELL shares new song | Listen to 'Buddah (forget you)'
Kirsten Morrell, the former lead singer of Goldenhorse, releases a new single ‘Buddah (forget you)’ taken from her forthcoming album Morrellium set for release late 2025. For this song Kirsten pulled together an impressive line-up of musicians, engineers, and music producers. In keeping with the rest of the new album, this song marks a stylistic departure from her previous music. ‘Buddah (forget you)’ is an uplifting slice of 80s inspired pop and follows the release of new album singles ‘Avignon‘ and ‘Strawberry Fool‘.
ALIEN WEAPONRY team up with Randy Blythe for 'Taniwha' video! | Watch it now
New Zealand’s ALIEN WEAPONRY recently released their head-turning third album, Te Rā, via Napalm Records! Swiftly, following the announcement of their upcoming USA tour supporting Avatar with fellow openers SpiritWorld, the band has dropped a brand new music video for album single ‘Taniwha’, featuring an intense guest appearance from metal icon Randy Blythe (Lamb Of God). In the video, the modern groove metal trio find themselves face to face with puppet masters of corporate greed and overconsumption, providing a thought-provoking backdrop to one of the album’s most aggressive, death-metal leaning offerings.
BIG THIEF announce new album | Listen to new song 'Incomprehensible'
Big Thief will release their sixth studio album, Double Infinity, on 5 September 2025. Adrianne Lenker, Buck Meek and James Krivchenia have shared album opener, ‘Incomprehensible’. Double Infinity is the follow-up to 2022’s Grammy-nominated album, Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You, recorded last winter at the Power Station, New York City. For three solid weeks, the trio would ride bicycles on frozen streets between Brooklyn and Manhattan, meeting in Power’s Station’s warm wood-panelled room. Double Infinity was produced, engineered and mixed by longtime Big Thief collaborator Dom Monks.
POOL KIDS sign to Epitaph Records & announce album | Listen to title track
Since we last heard from Pool Kids, the Florida based quartet had just released their sprawling sophomore album in 2022. “Filled with gut punch hooks,” Pitchfork lauded, “The Tallahassee band’s second album is carried by their battle-tested friendship and irrepressible chemistry.” Followed by an EP in 2023 (split with their hardcore alter egos POOL), today they return with the announcement of their new album Easier Said Than Done out on August 15th via a new label home, Epitaph Records. The band share the album’s title track, flickering with anxiety and then crashing into catharsis as frontperson Christine Goodwyne screams through her inability to let go of her preoccupations. “OCD can just rob your life of joy,” she says. “Things can be going so well, and then it just sucks any enjoyment out of it.”
SHAME announce new album Cutthroat | Listen to the title track
Shame have announced their return with new album Cutthroat, out 5th September 2025 via Dead Oceans, and have shared the thrilling new video for the album’s title track, directed by Ja Humby, featuring the band performing within a motorcycle wall of death. Cutthroat’s first single and title track takes this idea and runs with it into, quite possibly, the best song Shame have ever laid to tape. It’s a ball of barely-contained attitude packed into three minutes of indie dancefloor hedonism. It also masterfully introduces the lyrical outlook of the record: one where cocksure arrogance and deep insecurity are two sides of the same coin.
LIFEGUARD release focus track | Listen to dub-inflected 'Like You'll Lose'
Out Friday on Matador Records, Ripped and Torn is the eagerly awaited debut album by Chicago trio Lifeguard. Listen to the band’s churning third single ‘Like You’ll Lose.’ The dub-inflected track takes inspiration from Lee Perry’s tight drum sound and expansive lo-fi atmospherics, with Asher Case’s baseline providing a center of gravity for skittering rhythms and tumbling echoes.
CURTIS HARDING announces new album | Listen to his new joyous tune
Curtis Harding is proof of the strange magic that happens when musical prowess meets unbridled imagination. The Atlanta-based singer/songwriter has announced his fourth full-length album, a true-to-life reflection he soon expanded into an elaborate concept album about a pilot lost in space. Coming out September 5, Departures & Arrivals: Adventures of Captain Curt merges the lavish scope of a space opera with the pure feeling of classic soul—ultimately bringing an even greater potency to his wildly eclectic sound. Curtis Harding has shared a gorgeously joyful track called ‘True Love Can’t Be Blind’ which speaks to love that endures across a great distance, telegraphing a euphoric infatuation in its radiant piano riffs and rapturous harmonies.
WATER FROM YOUR EYES announce new album |Listen to 'Life Signs'
It’s A Beautiful Place, the new full-length from Water From Your Eyes out August 22, opens with zero-gravity instrumental ‘One Small Step’ – a fitting prelude for what is one giant leap for the New York duo. The album is a gleaming megalopolis: a satellite view of eras and musical forms, a reframing of the y2k songbook that is at once awe-struck and mindful of its place in the vastness. “It ended up being about time, dinosaurs and space,” says Nate Amos. “We wanted to present a wide range of styles in a way that acknowledges everything’s just a tiny blip.” First single ‘Life Signs’ has landed with a video directed by the band’s Rachel Brown. The towering and muscular track awakens with a nu-metal backbeat and a rhythmic vocal deadpan which takes a hard pivot into a signature WFYE chorus – cascading and celestial.
DOLO TONIGHT announces concept album | Listen to lead single
On a mission to bring fun back into music, the LA-by-way-of-New-Jersey artist, Dolo Tonight (born Jonah Rindner) is defining his own brand of “awkward anti-pop” with his debut album DVD Rental Store out on October 3rd via Epitaph Records. Expertly blending nostalgia with humour, the record is packed with bold anthems and buoyant chords produced by JUNO Award-winning, multi-Platinum producer Ryan Spraker (Weezer, Arkells). Dolo shares lead single ‘Live Your Life’, an upbeat romp about breaking free from expectations and building a life on your own terms.

Call it instinct, fate, divine intervention, whatever – the whims of ‘The Chain’ have led to a moment where one thing is abundantly clear: Split Chain are one of the hottest, zeitgeist-capturing new bands in the world. “Split Chain is something that none of us feel like we have any control of,” says frontman Bert Martinez-Cowles. “Split Chain simply does what it wants and what it needs.”

Eagerly anticipated, and out now is Chicago trio Lifeguard’s debut album Ripped and Torn via Matador Records. The trio of Asher Case (bass, baritone guitar, vocals), Isaac Lowenstein (drums, synth), and Kai Slater (guitar, vocals) have been making music together since they were in high school, nearly a quarter of their lives. Noisy and immediate, cryptic but heartfelt, they draw inspiration from punk, dub, power-pop and experimental sounds, and bring them all together in explosive cacophony.

CHRISTIAN LEE HUTSON releases Paradise Pop. 10 (DELUXE) | THE LABEL

Featuring only Hutson on acoustic guitar and cello and violinist Odessa Jorgensen, listen to the original album and new deluxe tracks.
