Jamie xx has released a brand new single, ‘All You Children’. Taken from Jamie’s hotly-anticipated second album In Waves (released 20th September via Young), ‘All You Children’ sees the London musician, DJ and producer collaborating with the legendary The Avalanches on a swirling club anthem propelled by a hypnotic chorus of chants and Moroder-esque basslines.

Last month, MJ Lenderman — the North Carolina-based singer, songwriter, and musician — announced his new album, Manning Fireworks, out September 6th via ANTI-, and released the “future fan favorite” (Consequence) lead single/video, ‘She’s Leaving You.’ Today, Lenderman gives us another slice with the new single/video ‘Joker Lips.’ A magnetic song about feeling pushed out by everyone else, Lenderman provides us a look at a renewed sincerity in his work, as he deadpans “Please don’t laugh / Only half of what I said was a joke.” Maybe you hear a tremble in his voice? SNAIL MAIL releases Smashing Pumpkins cover | Listen to 'Tonight, Tonight'
Marking her first new release since her ‘Easy Thing’ single last fall, Snail Mail (Lindsey Jordan) has dropped her take on The Smashing Pumpkins’ song ‘Tonight Tonight’ via Matador. She recorded the song for the underground hit film I Saw The TV Glow which was released by A24 in January and is now available on streaming services. In addition to the song appearing on the soundtrack, Snail Mail also made her feature film acting debut in the Jane Schoenbrun-directed film.

The week began with a stunned and somber tone around the motu as we learned of the unexpected and sad passing of Martin Phillipps.
Co-founder of The Chills, Martin was a gifted songwriter, guitarist, and performer whose spine-tingling melodies captivated audiences for decades. His contribution to the iconic “Dunedin Sound” movement that propelled New Zealand music onto the global stage, cemented his legacy as a musical pioneer.
From the anthemic ‘I Love My Leather Jacket’ to the ethereal ‘Heavenly Pop Song’ and the haunting ‘Pink Frost,’ his songs became cherished soundtracks to countless lives. Beyond NZ, Phillipps’ influence resonated with American groups like Pavement and R.E.M, solidifying his place as a true musical innovator. His unwavering artistic integrity and exceptional songwriting talent left an indelible mark on the music landscape.
Martins’ music will continue to echo in our hearts, a testament to his enduring talent and artistic brilliance. We are grateful for the gift of his music and the countless memories it has created
