ANJIMILE shares new single ‘Father’, new album The King out soon | Find Out More about ANJIMILE Here
Anjimile shares his new single, ‘Father’, the latest from his upcoming album, The King, out September 8th. Earlier this year he shared title track ‘The King’, accompanied by a lyric visualiser inspired by the work of Daniela Yohannes, the artist behind the cover art.
‘Father’, with its gentle thrumming, recalls 2020 debut album Giver Taker’s soft, stirring folk. Anjimile needs little more than his voice and a guitar, played by Brad Allen Williams, to draw forth deep, stirring emotions, the kind of feelings dedicated to a loving and supportive parent.

THE BREEDERS announce Last Splash (30th Anniversary Original Analog Edition) | Listen to New Single
A defining album of the 90s, Last Splash by The Breeders turns 30 this year. Recorded by the ‘classic’ Breeders line-up of Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson, and featuring the infectiously appealing ‘Cannonball’, Last Splash immediately became an alt-rock classic, achieving platinum status in the UK and US, and is ranked in Pitchfork’s Top 100 Records of the 1990s.
To celebrate this anniversary, the album has been remastered from the original analog tapes – previously thought to be lost – a process which also brought to light two unreleased tracks, a discovery that will delight fans.
Today, the Breeders share one of those songs, ‘Go Man Go’, together with a brand-new video, directed by Brandon Weaver of Ironwing Studios.

SLOW PULP announces new album, Yard and share new single/video, 'Slugs ' | Listen to SLUGS
Emily Massey (vocals/guitar), Henry Stoehr (guitar/producer), Teddy Mathews (drums), and Alex Leeds (bass) have an electric chemistry, one that allows them to nimbly reach new sonic heights across Yard. Building upon the sticky hooks and dreamy rock seen in their earlier music, Yard crafts together a bigger sound. Through listless guitar, weepy americana, a raw-to-the-bone piano ballad, and belt-along worthy pop-punk, they tackle themes of isolation and the process of learning to be comfortable with yourself, along with the importance of learning to trust, love, and lean on others.
HIGH PULP share 'Unified Dakotas' feat. Jeff Parker - new album ‘Days In the Desert ’ out soon |Listen to United Dakotas
Los Angeles-based experimental jazz collective High Pulp will release their new album ’Days in the Desert’ in peak sweltering summer heat next month on July 28. The titular desert is both literal and metaphorical: it’s the Mojave Desert that the band powers through on their many DIY tours around the country, but they perceive the desert as a spiritual quest as well. Today they are sharing the album track ‘Unified Dakotas’ feat. Jeff Parker. The song ‘Unified Dakotas’ aligns High Pulp with the kind of adventurous music that defined the alternative ‘90s, a mix of post-rock guitars, head-nodding drums, bright horns, and electronics. It made perfect sense to reach out to Jeff Parker of Tortoise and have his guitar ring through the song as it transforms from shimmering jazz-funk to dreamy ambience and back.

Following the “instant earworm” (Brooklyn Vegan) of a lead single, ‘Ballad of the Texas King,’ today’s singles see Clarke continue his exploration of “pop essentialism.”
