To celebrate the two-year anniversary of the release of his lauded second album LAHAI, London musician, songwriter and producer Sampha today releases a previously-unheard song ‘Cumulus / Memory’. Co-written with, and featuring backing vocals from Romy, the self-produced two-part suite sees Sampha at his understated, elegant best. It was originally recorded as part of the LAHAI album sessions but remained unfinished until now, with Sampha continuing to work on it over the subsequent two years between spells of touring his acclaimed LAHAI live show.

Riotuous US sextet, THE SOPHS share new single & video 'I'M YOUR FIEND' | THE LABEL
The Sophs are sharing a new song and video ‘I’M YOUR FIEND’. The track follows earlier stand-alone singles ‘SWEAT’, ‘DEATH IN THE FAMILY’ and a cover of Mac Demarco’s ‘For The First Time’.
The Sophs’ brutal honesty, flamingly intrusive thoughts, and broad genre-spreading caught the attention of Rough Trade label heads Geoff Travis and Jeannette Lee immediately when they received a demo from Ramon. In the band’s demos they heard the sort of creativity and variety — and “don’t expect me to act pretty” sentiment — that could get The Sophs — including frontman Ethan Ramon, Sam Yuh (keyboards), Austin Parker Jones (electric guitar), Seth Smades (acoustic guitar), Devin Russ (drums), and Cole Bobbitt (bass) — a slot on nearly any stage. “It’s rare that a demo that arrives in the post sets your heart racing and sends you off on a quest to track down its sender. But that’s what happened when we listened to the music sent to us by Ethan Ramon,” Travis and Lee explain.

Georgia Knight Shares Striking New Single ... | THE LABEL
‘Everybody Knows My Business Now’, the striking album centrepiece and an undeniable live favourite, is a lonely, lowly tune that smoulders with intensity, gradually burning from a quiet ache into an emotional blaze.
The last song recorded for Beanpole and written in Tasmania, ‘Everybody Knows My Business Now’, was conceived in Jethro Pickett’s studio when Georgia was holed up there a few years ago.
Alongside the new single comes the official video for ‘Everybody Knows My Business Now’ – the third and final chapter in the album’s video trilogy.
Reuniting Georgia with Martin Sagadin and Marlon Williams and featuring Kailash Bishwakarma once more, the video unfolds as a poignant visual reflection of the song, its visuals conveying the track’s emotional resonance.
