Andy Shauf's FOXWARREN share new single/video | Listen to love song 'Yvonne'
Canadian quintet Foxwarren – Andy Shauf, Avery and Darryl Kissick, Dallas Bryson, and Colin Nealis – release ‘Yvonne,’ the second single/video from their new album, 2, out May 30th via ANTI-. Following lead single ‘Listen2me’, ‘Yvonne’ is a compulsory study of love’s strange spell. Shauf sets the beach-like scene above a polyrhythmic sampled loop, and then when his vocal harmonies hit the string section singing, “I don’t know what I’d do without you, Yvonne,” it’s like watching the sun rise in someone else’s eyes. “Yvonne, the woman scanning the beach each morning for buried treasure, deserves a love song too,” the band says.
DURAND JONES & THE INDICATIONS share new song |Listen to 'Flower Moon'
Durand Jones & The Indications — the trio of Durand Jones, Aaron Frazer, and Blake Rhein — release ‘Flower Moon,’ the second single/video from their forthcoming album, Flowers out June 27th on Dead Oceans. Following lead single ‘Been So Long,’ praised by Rated R&B as a “petal-soft tune [that] rides with the smoothness of an early ’70s soul jam,” ‘Flower Moon’ guides listeners to an end-of-night dancefloor with Frazer’s trademark falsetto on full display.

MARIA SOMERVILLE shares 'Spring' | New album Luster out Friday
Irish musician Maria Somerville will share her second album and debut project on 4AD, Luster, this Friday April 25. Ahead of the release, Somerville has now shared one final single off the record, ‘Spring’ — a whirring and atmospheric dreamgaze track, full yet fleeting with distorted acoustic strumming, ghostly siren calls, commanding head-bobbing percussion, and a surprising autotuned outro. Over the last few months, Somerville has further introduced Luster’s haunting tranquility and lush sonic backdrop with three other singles: ‘Stonefly’ ‘Garden’ and ‘Projections’ . Together, these tracks shape her otherworldly yet grounded debut 4AD record, which channels her experiences on the bank of the Corrib in her native Connemara, Ireland and pays homage to the sonic tapestry woven by nostalgic 4AD artists such as This Mortal Coil.
CURTIS HARDING returns with new track | Listen to 'There She Goes'
Atlanta’s Curtis Harding – “making some of the best modern soul music out right now” (Uproxx) – has returned today with his first new music in four years. Following collaborations in recent years with RÜFÜS DU SOL and Jazmine Sullivan, the catchy new song ‘There She Goes’ is accompanied by a new music video by Italian director Michele Civetta; taking place in an opulent Beverly Hills Garden with a sinister Twilight Zone-esque secret and featuring actor Omar Dorsey (Selma, Queen Sugar) who is a recurring presence in Harding’s music videos
GUCCIHIGHWATERS shares synth-laden single | Check out 'NOBODY ELSE'
Multi-talented artist guccihighwaters delivers the lush new single ‘NOBODY ELSE’, another taste of his ambitious self-produced record DEATH BY DESIRE out next month on May 30th via Epitaph. Leaning into a hypnotic RnB sound, ‘NOBODY ELSE’ explores the blurred lines between lust and love with introspective lyrics that float above spacey synths and layered electronic production.
LATE NIGHT DRIVE HOME share case study on dating apps in new song | Listen to it here
Releasing the second single from their upcoming debut record, late night drive home opens ‘she came for a sweet time’ with the familiar screech of guitar feedback. The next scene in the band’s portrait of living their entire existence in the shadow of the internet, the new single is a case study on dating apps. Intoxicated not only by the endless options to swipe through, but by the feeling that you always have to be with another person, there’s a moral panic behind how we only show the best of ourselves online.
